Just got done installing it. About 25 minutes and done. I installed because my son always dropped my tailgate. After completing install, had son drop tailgate and he thought it was cool and doesn’t have to worry about dad chewing his butt. Thanks again for an excellent product, and a happy popa.

I have purchased 6 of these tailgate assists. They are a godsend for my wife. She is only 5’tall and some of my trucks were to tall for her to operate the tailgates safely.
Now she can lower them without worrying about the weight dropping on her and possibly injuring her. Several of my friends watched mine operate and immediately purchased them for their trucks. A great safety product!!!! I would recommend them to everyone! Good job DeeZee!!!!!

Install a piece of cake. Ah, but one thing… The installer placed the shock in up side down.. Did not want to break it pulling it off… Is there an issue with this topsy turvey install or
Can it be flipped over with damage? Thank you.
