DZ43102 would be the part number for your application.

They do not work on the passenger side. That is the side with the slot in the hinge point for the tailgate to be removed. When in operation the assist will attempt to pull the tailgate out as it gets to that point of pivoting.

We only make them for the drivers side.

Works Great! I installed it on my 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 using your colorized installation sheets. The only thing that would have improved the installation is to add some verbiage about the collapsing nut install. When I was using your tool to install the nut, the nut kept spinning as I turn the 9 to 11 turns. I had put a mark on the nut and could see it slip and spin on some of the turns and this resulted in a partially collapsed nut. I found some comments on a blog site and one person talked about if this happens, add a lot of pressure to the hex bolt when making the 9 turns. I got my hex socket and socket wrench out and pushed as hard as I could while turning the nut on your provided tool and it collapsed as you said it would. So if you added to mark and watch for the collapsing nut spinning then add more pressure it would have made the install go a lot faster. Forget using an allen wrench and use a socket set-up so you can add more pressure if needed. I love my tailgate now as it slowly pivots down on it’s own.

I apologize for that. The DZ43102 is one of two tailgate assists that we have not completed the video for. If you are needing assistance on installation, please call customer service at 800-779-2102.

The instructions say you have an instructional video on your website, but you don’t. Your website even states “0 videos. There are no videos yet.”
