When You Have the Right Tool for the Job, Things Just Go More Smoothly.
When was the last time you effectively drove a screw in with a hammer? It’s just not going to happen. The same goes for using a regular truck toolbox when you’re towing a fifth wheel trailer. Why use a box that was designed for a standard pickup, when you could have one built specifically for your fifth wheel?
Our Red Label Utility Chest is designed with the fifth wheel in mind. It fits securely on either side of the hitch, at the front or back of your truck bed depending on your preference.
As They Say, Bigger is Better.
Our Red Label Fifth Wheel Utility Box offers plenty of storage for tools and other supplies you may need to haul along with your trailer.
We like to make tough things here at DeeZee, that’s why the Red Label Utility Chest is forged out of .056 Brite-Tread aluminum using a crown style lid with a full pan double-V stiffener for superior rigidity. We also like to make life as easy as possible for those folks out there putting in a hard day’s work, so we use dampened gas shocks for silky smooth opening and closing of the lid.
All of this doesn’t mean a thing if the stuff in your box isn’t safe from theft or damage. Lockable paddle handles keep people out of your toolbox, and a closed cell foam gasket keeps the contents of your box dry, cozy, and protected from the elements.

Length 60″ x width 24″ x height 19.1″.

This box will probably be to large to work for this. The box measures 60″ length x 24″ wide x 19.1″ height.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The dimensions are listed at the part number level under additional information tab. Here is the address to where this information can be found. https://www.deezee.com/product/dz8560wb-red-label-fifth-wheel-utility-chest-black/

The box should not get damaged in shipping but unfortunately we have no control over how LTL carriers handle the shipment.

We always suggest measuring the are the box is being installed before purchase to make sure it will fit. The box is 16″ tall.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Yes the box comes with self tapping screws to mount it to the bed of the truck.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Unfortunately this box only has silver latches.
AdminDeeZee2 –
It should fit. Not sure on the details for the factory hitch, but the box is 24″ wide. I recommend making sure there will be enough distance between the front of the bed and where the hitch begins.
AdminDeeZee2 –
No. The width of 24″ will not allow the box to fit between the front of the bed and the wheel well.
AdminDeeZee2 –
I am sorry but at this time we don’t have one that will fit in the box and not fall through.
AdminDeeZee2 –
You are correct. It wasn’t until Ford made a change around ’10-’11 that the 60″ boxes won’t work as well because the the corners of the bed are curved instead of the traditional square.

Btw – fits in my 2008 F-350 super duty dually (long bed) just fine – even with the narrow 40 gal transfer tank.
Bill Perrin –
The actual width is 61″ (width of top) – had to trim my tonneau cover rails so I could open it.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The reason for the fifth wheel box not fitting a F350 is that Ford rolled the bottom corners of the truck beds. Which creates an issue on anything that is 60″ in length that sits on the floor of the pickup bed. The box will hit the rounded corner and not sit flat on the floor. If you want a box that is square on the bottom that will fit. I suggest the DZ8556FB. It is not as big but will fit flat on the floor of the truck. Its dimensions are L 56″ x W 19″ x H 16″.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The box is approximately 66 lbs.

Internal dimensions are pretty much the same as the outer minus the thickness of the material.
