The days of behemoth ladder racks and permanent cargo systems are over!
The Invis-A-Rack Cargo Management System allows you to have a functional ladder rack that can be collapsed down into the bed rail casings when not in use. Whether you have the need to haul the occasional load from the home improvement store, or depend on a cargo system daily- you can trust the Invis-A-Rack by Dee Zee to be up to the challenge.
Goes from invisible to invaluable in a matter of seconds.
Made from lightweight aluminum extrusions, this innovative cargo system has non-rusting strength sealed by a texture black powder finish. High quality mechanisms ensure to last the life of your truck and provide a sturdy frame when erected. Installation is made easy with heavy-duty clamps to secure the unit to your truck bed rails.
With a weight capacity of 500 pounds, you can rely on the Invis-A-Rack to withstand heavy-duty use. Construction workers can now haul lumber and ladders by day, and escort the family to dinner and a movie by night. Outdoor enthusiasts now have a system to effectively transport their canoe to the river on the weekends without attaching a bulky rack system that is a permanent fixture to the truck.
As shown on TV, the Invis-A-Rack was intended for production in the USA and the inventor, Donny McCall, would not accept anything less. Dee Zee has fulfilled that promise with 100% production in America’s heartland. Use of highest quality materials and precision manufacturing makes the Invis-A-Rack a truly American born innovation.

The only cover that worked with the Invis-A-Rack was a LoPro from Truxedo. Get in contact with them to see if there is still one to fit.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Not sure. Truxedo did make a lopro cover to work with the invis-a-rack. Contact them to verify fitment.
AdminDeeZee2 –
You will need to contact TruXedo to see if they still make the cover. All hardware would come with the cover. The rack depending on bed length is DZ951550, DZ951600, or DZ951800.
AdminDeeZee2 –
We are not aware of one. The rack has a bracket that comes down on the inside of the bed rail to then be clamped using the underside of the rail.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The ladder rack uses the bed rail for installation. The best option would be a chest style toolbox.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The only one that worked was a Low Pro Truxedo. Not sure if they are still making them to work with our rack. Contact them for that information.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Unfortunately the rack will not work with a Bakflip cover.
AdminDeeZee2 –
We have not test fitted it beyond 2004. I cannot positively say it will fit. Check the instructions to see if the installation will work on the 02 bed.
Dave Leimert –
Sets up and collapses into storage in seconds. Looks good when stowed. I use it for hauling my resin fishing boat or my two kayaks. Frees up room in the truck box when holidaying with the travel trailer. My only gripes.. I wish there were security locks of some sort to prevent theft and the plastic end caps came off first year I owned it. Doesn’t affect the functionality but doesn’t look as good without them.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The Invis-A-Rack will not work with a crossover toolbox. Will work with a chest box that sits on the floor of the bed.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Truxedo at one time was making a lo pro cover to work with the Invis-A-Rack. I am not sure if they still producing them. You can contact them to see.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The Truxedo cover was specifically designed to work with the rack system. You would have to contact them to see if they still offer one. The rack system has a flange that sits against the inside of the bed rail. Not sure it would work with Bak.
AdminDeeZee2 –
DZ951600 should fit. Only issues would be if there is anything on the inside edge of the bed rail that could interfere with installation. You can review the installation before purchase on our site in the upper left corner. Click on the link and then enter the part number.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Yes. Contact our customer service department at 800-779-2102.
AdminDeeZee2 –
It does not work with just any cover. Truxedo for awhile was making a specific lo pro style to fit with the rack. You can check with them to see if they have an application for your vehicle.
Krystal Hallman –
AWESOME Well worth the money. Kudos to Donny McCall for not sending the manufacturing to China!
AdminDeeZee2 –
Unfortunately no. Truxedo did make specific lo pro soft cover to work with the rack on certain vehicles. Check with them to see if they offer one for your application. The cover has to be narrower to work with the rack.
AdminDeeZee2 –
We have worked in conjunction with Truxedo to have a low profile to work with it. Check with them to see if they have one to fit your vehicle and the Invis-a-rack.
AdminDeeZee2 –
It will not work with a roll up cover.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The Invis-A-Rack will not work in conjunction with the folding cover.
AdminDeeZee2 –
No. The cover itself is different size to accommodate the installation of the Invis-A-Rack. You can contact Truxedo to see if they have an application available for your truck.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Unfortunately we do not have a bike rack accessory for the Invis-A-Rack.
StevieV –
I have this on a 2015 F150 – I didn’t want a rack where I couldn’t pull into a parking garage. I found this one and was excited to try it out. It fits my 5.5 bed just right and when assembled together it is nice and sturdy. I think I have had at least 500 pounds on it for a short trip from Home Depot to my house.
Adjustment – I drilled 4 holes through the housing and the frame of the rack. Into this I inserted a quick release pin. The reason behind this was that I was driving down the street and the things rattle around and one popped up into a partially locked position. At this point I determined I needed to secure the movable parts down while driving. With the quick release pins in place I can pretty much go off roading without issues.
This is a great product and does what it says. I can drive around town without them up and when I need a rack it is available to me in less than a minute or two.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The Invis-A-Rack will fit on the 19 Silverado. Enter the year make and model in that product to get the right model for length of bed.
AdminDeeZee2 –
No. It uses a bracket that goes from the rack to the underside of the bed rail.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The cover will not work with the Invis-A-Rack. It uses brackets that have to be mount using the inner bed rail.

Truxedo did make some covers that worked with the Invis-A-Rack. You can contact them to see if they have one available for your vehicle.

Installed easily, fit my Colorado perfectly. Drove 1300 miles with a house awning no problems, when done folded it up and it looks like I have nothing add to my truck.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Approximately 500 lbs.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Invis-A-Rack will not work with a crossover toolbox. It will work with a chest box that sits on the floor of the pickup bed.

AdminDeeZee2 –
Truxedo is the only company that we worked with to develop one to work with the Invis-A-Rack.
AdminDeeZee2 –

AdminDeeZee2 –
DZ951600 is the part number for your application.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Yes the Invis-A-Rack will fit the new SuperDuty.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Contact Truxedo for a tonneau cover.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Only if it is a Truxedo cover designed to work with the Invis-A-Rack. They do make a specific cover to work with it. You will need to call them to verify.
AdminDeeZee2 –
No it will not. There is a clamp that comes off the extrusion and goes to the underside of the bed rail.
AdminDeeZee2 –
It will not. Because of the way it mounts the cover has to be narrower. Truxedo does make a few Lo Pro covers to work with the Invis-a-Rack.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Most manufacturers list truck beds as 6′ but they measure 6’5″. The Invis-A-Rack will almost all of the bed rail. It is universal so it does have to fit GM, Ford, and Ram. It takes a specific size cover that Truxedo makes. Contact them for availability for your vehicle.
AdminDeeZee2 –

AdminDeeZee2 –
There is nothing that keeps the rack down except the weight of the extrusion. Unless you are traveling over really rough surface it doesn’t really pop up.
AdminDeeZee2 –
We have not been informed that it works with the roll-n-lock cover.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Unfortunately we do not offer an option of using screws for installation through the bed rail. This product is installed with the ability to be removed easily and not have holes in the top of the bed rail.
AdminDeeZee2 –
You will need access to the under side of the bed rail for the clamp system of the Invis-A-Rack installation.
AdminDeeZee2 –
There is no hard cover that works. Truxedo has a soft LoPro that they have designed to work.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Get in contact with Truxedo. The make a LoPro model that works in conjunction with the rack.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Fitment is based on the bed length.
AdminDeeZee2 –
As long as there is nothing on the inside part of the bed rail and access to the underside of the bed rail the rack will work. Review the instructions for a clearer picture of where it mounts to.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Depending on bed length either the DZ951600 or DZ951800 would be the application numbers.
AdminDeeZee2 –
500 lbs. is the capacity for the whole rack.
AdminDeeZee2 –
We don’t list this product specific to trim levels. As long at the truck doesn’t have the ram box it will fit.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The height is 31 3/4″ from bed rail to the crossbar.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Truxedo makes a soft low pro cover that works in conjunction with the rack.
AdminDeeZee2 –
No. There is only one. Truxedo has a Lo Pro available that works with the rack system.
AdminDeeZee2 –
There is a change the head of a bolt will interfere with the slides that allow the rack to lay flat in the sides.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The tonneau is sold separately. It is a Truxedo Lo-Pro. Get in contact with Truxedo for part number and purchase.
AdminDeeZee2 –
DZ951550 would for a 5.5′ bed.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Get in contact with customer service at 800-779-2102.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Can you please give the specific vehicle that you are trying to fit. I check to see which part number will work.
AdminDeeZee2 –
There should be no issues with a spray in liner.
AdminDeeZee2 –
If it is a plastic liner that goes up and over the rail the rack will not work. The Invis-A-Rack uses a piece that goes up and under the bed rail for installation.
AdminDeeZee2 –
No. 5′ is the shortest bed we have a fitment for.
AdminDeeZee2 –
DZ951600 will mount on a 6′ bedn.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Will not work with any trifold tonneau covers.
AdminDeeZee2 –
It will only work with a specific Truxedo cover designed to fit with the Invis-A-Rack.
AdminDeeZee2 –
No. It has a flange that comes down on the inside of the truck bed rail.
AdminDeeZee2 –
I am not sure what your question refers to.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Two kayaks fit on the rack. Depending on the size of the kayaks will determine how much area they take. They may touch and have to be tilted upward in the center a little with a cushion in between but will fit.
AdminDeeZee2 –
You will find our product cheaper throughout the internet compared to our website. We do not under cut our dealers prices.
AdminDeeZee2 –
It will not fit with the cover you have. Truxedo does make a cover that specifically works with the Invis-A-Rack. The cover is a little bit narrower to fit properly.
AdminDeeZee2 –
We were unable to test fit the product on a F150 of this age. The DZ951600 should fit but I recommend reviewing the instructions before purchasing to make sure the areas for installation are accessible.

I have a 2015 GMC Canyon Short Bed , Great Versatile rack . I’ve used it for Kayaks , ladders , lumber , and threw a tarp over it and made a tent .
AdminDeeZee2 –
No. It uses the underside of the pickup bed rail. The flareside beds to not have this area.
AdminDeeZee2 –
The dimension of the rack in between the vertical supports is 54.25″. They will probably hang a little over on the outside. Or you angle them up in the middle a little.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Yes. Contact customer service. 800-779-2102
AdminDeeZee2 –
Part number is DZ951600.

AdminDeeZee2 –
Part number for a 5′ is DZ951550.
ARTHUR –
As truck bodies get higher, there are fewer racks that will allow me to get under my 8′ garage doors and this rack offered a solution. I’ve used it half a dozen times to carry 2-300# of lumber and it worked fine. I would say 500# is pushing the racks, The rack erects fine in a couple minutes. The buttons are stiff and have to pushed way in to work, but once you get the nack of it work great . I have made a couple of cross bars out of 2x3s to extend the width and carry two 80 pound canoes on it. I’m not sure how it would fare on a long trip down a rough dirt woods road. The big bonus is I get better gas milage on my truck with the rack down and the tonneau cover…..at least 1 mpg. Works for my limited needs…… but it’s not a TracRac.
AdminDeeZee2 –
I am not sure that it will fit properly. The main housing pieces of the Invis-A-Rack are 33″ in length.
AdminDeeZee2 –
You will want to look at either DZ951551 or DZ951601. These would be the options for an import midsize application.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Truxedo makes a LoPro cover that works in conjunction with the Invis-A-Rack. Contact Truxedo for assistance on the cover.
AdminDeeZee2 –

AdminDeeZee2 –
We recommend all items on the rack be secured to the pickup bed.
AdminDeeZee2 –
An 8′ bed application will work on a 5′ bed by removing the bungee box.
AdminDeeZee2 –
No. We have worked in partnership with Truxedo to make the Lo Pro tonneau cover to work with the system. You can contact them for part number application.
AdminDeeZee2 –
If it is under the rail the Invis-A-Rack will work. It mounts to the inside rail. You can pull the instructions up on the website for review.
AdminDeeZee2 –
No. The Invis-A-Rack sits against the inside truck bed rail and that is where the Nissan rack system is installed.
AdminDeeZee2 –
No it will not. The only cover on the market that works with the Invis-A-Rack is the Truxedo Low Pro. The have designed to work in conjunction with the rack. It can be purchased from Truxedo.

AdminDeeZee2 –
Only toolboxes that will work in conjunction with the Invis-A-Racks are the utility chest. Crossovers will not work because the rack uses the bedrail for installation.
AdminDeeZee2 –
I am not sure how to secure it permanently. It could be stolen but will take some time to accomplish this. If a thief wants something bad enough they will get it done.
AdminDeeZee2 –
When the rack is in the use position it is 27″ tall from the bed rail.
AdminDeeZee2 –
Truxedo makes a tonneau cover that works with the Invis-A-Rack. Give them a call at 877-878-9336.
